This year was no different than previous years. Two weeks prior to Christmas my mailbox is loaded with greeting cards wishing me Merry Cristmas, Happy New Year or the disgustingly politically correct, Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings.
Some of the cards are the standard stock cards that you find in Target or Walmart. Some are from the special order stock which are of a higher quality and a bit more expensive. Then there are the ones with pictures of my friends’ children. These are my favorite!! I usually think to myself ‘Oh, I can’t wait to have kids so I can send cards like this’.
Well, don’t see that happening soon so I have a question. Would it be too vain or narcissistic to send Christmas cards with my picture? My niece suggested sending cards with pictures of her sons since I don’t have children of my own.
What about a picture of me in a Fredrick’s of Hollywood Santa’s Helper outfit with black knee boots in front of the fireplace or Christmas tree? Okay, that might be too much! But can you imagine the reactions?!! 🙂
Seriously though. Would it be too vain?
I think that’s a wonderful idea. I also enjoy receiving cards with pictures. I had some made with a family photo this year and you should have one made with yours as well.
and Merry Christmas! I’ve been missing you.
Sending cards with your nephews in them is a wonderful idea, being that they are the loves of your life. But, it is also appropriate for you to send a pic of yourself, minus the santa claus booty shawts and thigh high boots.
I dont see any problems with using a pic of yourself. Life is too shhort to be worried about what people think. remembe the slogan??? I say, go for it.
Choc, I don’t think I’d make it a Victoria Secret picture, however, I think it would be perfectly alright to send one of yourself. Or, if you don’t want to do that, if you have kitty or doggie you could have your picture taken with them, or have one made with your nephews, and send that.
So no one is really feeling the Santa’s Helper, huh? LMAO!!
Well, if you were sending the card to the OC, I would understand and say – you go girl!
