I posted this at Over Analyze It a couple of days ago but in an effort to get more exposure, I’m posting it here also.

Hat Tip: Shaun from A.I. The Exiles

Everyone should be aware of this! Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and you will be given the person’s name and address. If you then hit Map Quest, you will get a map to the person’s house. It’s a nationwide reverse telephone book.If a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can now look it up to find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming.

Note that you can have your phone number removed or blocked.

I tried my number and it came up along with the map quest and directions straight to my house.

Quite scary.

In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: http://www.google.com/ Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e.555-555-1212) and hit enter.

If you want to BLOCK Google from divulging your private information, simply click on your telephone number and then click on the Removal Form. Removal takes 48-hours.

Please share this information with friends and family.

I am 373 pages into this 973 page book and already there’s been a birth, an abandonment, a seduction, a church fire, a political coup, a rape and a decapitation.

Ken Follett’s epic tale is set in the Middle Ages and these people were the original “gangsters”! They were treacherous, ruthless and adhered to a strict caste system.

So far, it has lived up to the hype of being a “page turner”.

j0396792.jpgOver the hills and through the trees to grandma’s house we go….

It’s more like through eight traffic lights to mama’s house I go to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be feasting on the standards: fried turkey, dressing with cranberry sauce, candied yams, macaroni & cheese, veggie medley, dinner rolls, gumbo, sweet potato pie, pecan pie, yellow cake with chocolate icing.  I will probably be in a food induced coma by 3 pm. 🙂

When I rise in the morning, my first thought is usually “Thank you Jesus“.  I thank Him for blessing me with another day to get it right. I am thankful for my health, my peace of mind and the overall use of my faculties. I’m thankful to have a place to call home where I can rest my head; thankful for a job doing what I love and even for the 1+ hour commute.

I am thankful for my family: my mom (Joy) whom I love and respect even through the challenges of our relationship because being her “Mini-Me” is not always easy 🙂 ; my sister (Vee) and our improving relationship; my niece (Mook) who is blossoming into a better woman and mother every day; my nephews (Sky & Jay-Jay) who melt my heart on a regular.

I am thankful for friends: L-Boogie, S-Spoon, San, Mint, Nette. Whether I talk to you daily or not know that I love you deeply and each of you have impacted and influenced my life.

I am thankful for on-line and blogging friends: AJ for inviting me to be a guest contributor on her blog Over Analyze It. This single action was a tremendous confidence booster and has motivated me to continue writing. My American Idol Exiles community: Shay, Jex, Kimmy, Nana, Luvstoread, Carla, Eve, RC, Shaun, etc. You guys help me through the work day by making me laugh, sometimes so hard I have to clean my laptop monitor!

So today while blessing the fabulous feast mom has prepared I will again say “Thank you Jesus” for all of this and more!

I am truly blessed! 🙂
