Chocl8t Ramblings

Travis Heckstall, a former Clayton County teacher, has been charged with making terroristic threats against a student and his family. The former science teacher was pushed to the edge of sanity and apparently jumped. In an effort to keep control of his class after he was threatened by students, Mr. Heckstall issued a few threats of his own. He allegedly cursed, spat, threw chairs, threatened to “rip a student’s eyeballs out” and to kill the student’s family.

Read the story HERE.

According to family and friends, specifically Mr Heckstall’s father Joe Heckstall (a Georgia state representative), this was not characteristic of his son. If we are to believe the elder Hesckstall, Travis Heckstall has been threatened before and brought his concerns of students’ behavior to the administration only to be told to “deal with it”. I am inclined to believe it.

We have all heard the trouble teachers have with unruly students and lack of support from administration. School systems are fearful of lawsuits so they tie the teachers’ hands leaving them with little to no recourse to reasonably discipline the demon seeds they’ve be charged to teach. And guess what? The little darling demon seeds “know” this and they dayum near have free reign to intimidate and antagonize instructors without any real consequences. The patients are running the asylum! I am surprised more teachers haven’t cracked and gone off the deep end.

This doesn’t excuse Mr. Heckstall’s behavior but I can certainly understand. Teachers have my utmost respect because this is NOT a job I could do. I would be facing a long stint in the state pen for beating one of those Devil’s spawn to the white meat. NO DOUBT!

I’ve been slack in posting this week, I know. It’s been a good week and the holiday weekend was niiiice but I just have not wanted to write anything. I have realized that I need to stop drinking or drink more because 2 Cosmopolitans & 1 Goose n Juice had me wobbly and weak in the knees (or maybe it was the company I was keeping). 😉

I did receive phone calls from two X’s (ex-boyfriend & and an ex-homey/lover/friend)…that’s a post by itself, believe me. It would appear that both have been missing the sweetness that is Chocl8t, but considering all this amounts to is more of the same old bullshyt, I’ll just let it ride for now. They do have interesting timing though.

So with nothing in the news that moved me nor pissed me off more than usual, I’ve been quiet. Maybe, next week will be different. We shall see. Until then…have a great weekend! 😀

If I had my way he would walk up from behind and kiss me on my neck.

If I had my way I would return the favor.

If I had my way I would explore the opportunity to love freely, honestly, generously, openly.

If I could only have my way with him……If I had my way the things we’d do to each other would be illegal in several states.

If “if” was a fifth…I would be drunk.

History was made at Morehouse College this past weekend. Joshua Packwood graduated the HBCU as its first white valedictorian. A white Morehouse Man!!

But Packwood, 22, doesn’t stand out solely because he is white or has maintained a 4.0 grade point average. For those who don’t know him, what is surprising is that a Rhodes Scholar finalist turned down a full scholarship to Columbia University to attend the all-black men’s university.

This was all over the local news stations here in Atlanta, the home of Martin Luther King, Jr. Some people were upset…let me rephrase that…some black people were upset. No surprise there but if you’re one of those who is upset – you just need to go ahead and get over yourselves…for real!!

For the most part, Packwood says the experience among his Morehouse brethren has been overwhelmingly good – with the exception of a few negative comments.

“One guy came up to me and told me — he didn’t like the fact that I was here,” recalls Packwood. “He absolutely didn’t like the fact that I dated black women.” [Source] Pleas
